Assalamualaikum dan hi semua.
Setelah sekian lama meninggalkan dunia blog, akhirnya saya kembali ke sini. Dulunya blog ini hanyalah untuk mendapat gred yang baik untuk subjek yang diambil. Sekarang mungkin menjadi ruang untuk saya berkongsi rasa dan minat.
Setelah lama tidak menulis, kekok rasanya. Hari ini sempena kembali menulis, saya cuba menukar tema blog saya. Cubaan terlebih dahulu jika tidak sesuai kita akan tukar lagi ;) ;)
Terima kasih encik hubby menggalakan saya menulis. Katenye, supaya saya dapat hilangkan boring dan berkongsi.
Untuk post yang pertama ini tiada apa dapat saya kongsikan. Doakan semoga saya kekal menulis ya.

smartboard
Smartboard is interactive tools that have been used as learning assist. It is introduced in 1991. It is used touch technology to detect user input for example scrolling and right mouse click. It comes with interactive whiteboard, four pen with different colour and eraser.
When i have been introduced with smartboard, what i can say is "wow". Very interactive and this will help alot in learning.
I work with Siti Fatimah as a partner to accomplished this assignment. The first thing we did is choose the suits topics and create a lesson plan by using smartboard. We chose involuntary actions as topic that we will be teaching.
We start our learning session by elicit students prior knowledge by show several video. While to deliver content, we using flash presentation. Flash is very interactive and it will attracts students by showing some animation. I never used flash before, thanks to fatimah again. She is familiar with flash since she learned it during undergraduate. So, this is another new things that i learned during carry out this task.
There many activity that can be used in learning toolkits. We need to explore first to ensure that we are familiar with it. We just used simple toolkits in our assignment which sentences arrange and keywords match. There many activities that can be used and i believe that if we can used smartboard in class, there was no more bored in class. The class become more ineresting and students will actively involved in class.
I have gain many things with this assignmnet.New things that i have learn is learn to used smartboard and also macromedia flash which can be in learning session.
I would like to use more teaching toolkits if i have chance to use smartboard again.

Camtasia have been introduce by dr saadiah in week 7. Its new things to me, so of course there are quite challenging to accomplish this task.
In this task, i have been workout with Siti Fatimah. She is really good with computer stuff, so, its one of advantage to us. She help me alot with this assignment, thanks buddy, i love u always, ahakz :P.
We decide to teach Adobe photoshop by using camstudio. So i have gained 2 new things here, using camtasia and also editing picture by using photoshop. So, this assignment increase my own knowledge within ICT and how to applied it in learning session.
The most challenging to do in this task is editing session, we should be careful to hear and look out the scene for few times. its takes time to ensure that all session didnot repeated and on a right timeline.
Most thing that i enjoy here is recording session. its so funny, when heard our own voice, its a bit change. I myself didn't recognize my voice :P. I keep laughing during the session so, it takes time to make calm and further recording session.
A camtasia exposed to me new sofware in video editing. It is very useful software that can be used in learning session. For example if teacher can't present to class, the teacher can teach through the video and it is can be repeat many times untill student understand their lesson.
I hope i can use this software in future since it is really useful software. I hope i can mastered in editing and if can use it in future i would like to use it with camera as well as voice recording because i believed that when we look we can remember well than just hear.

What is PDP?
About PDP
Personal Development Planning (PDP) is a process that enhances and supports your experience as a student. By engaging in PDP you will be reviewing, building and reflecting on your personal and educational development. The process encourages you to take a step back and reflect on what you have achieved in a structured way. It also involves clearly identifying your goals and planning the steps you need to take to accomplish them.
Being a student is much more than simply studying for your degree or postgraduate qualification. University provides opportunities to mix with a wide range of people, get involved in positions of responsibility, develop work-experience, volunteer work, and broaden your outlook. By planning, developing and reviewing your personal and academic goals, the PDP process will:
Enable you to be clear about what you have learnt and what you can do and enable you to communicate this effectively to others
Help you identify areas for development (anything from academic referencing to giving a presentation)
Provide resources and support to help you develop specific skills
Increase your effectiveness and confidence as a student and graduate
Improve your general skills for study and career management
Bring together your academic and non academic experience and achievements (jobs, sport, leisure, volunteering, representative roles etc)
Give you a head start with CVs and application
Enable you to get more from your university course
PDP tracks both prior and current achievements and assists in the development of transferable skills. This means you make full use of your study and maximize the benefit derived from education and other experience as a student.
A key element in PDP is identifying areas you want to improve. At Chichester we have tried to provide user-friendly resources and support to enable you to tackle particular skill areas. Take a look at the contents of the Key Skills Online software to get a flavour of some of the resources you can use. PDP will also help you to be aware of, and encourage you to use, the full range of student services and sources of help at the University.
The process aims to enhance the general relevance and application of the skills, knowledge and achievements gained at University. By recognising your personal development and through consciously setting out specific targets and goals, you will enhance your educational and career prospects.

My Professional development plan
My personal professional development goal is to
1. increase my content knowledge in biology and science. To do this, I plan
a. Attend sessions at the Sample Action Item : Attend sessions at the education development which will provide a series of lectures by and conversations with discipline-specific experts, short courses, and field trips that are aligned with Biology and Science standard for form form one, two, three, four and five.
2. Serve to deepen my knowledge in biology and to sharpen my teaching skills in the classroom by enter certain courses and training.
3. Keep me abreast of new developments in science biology and in science education generally
a. Enter ICT skills courses for example ICT in learning, how to using smartboard.
4. Increase my ability to monitor students’ work so that I can provide constructive feedback to students and appropriately redirect my teaching.

whole blog reflections
Just started my e-portfolio.
What a surprise?? Finally i got my own blog. I have no interest with blog before, but love to read other blog. Thanks to Dr Saadiah, this subjects give me exposed me to blogs, and i know that it is beneficial to have it.
what did i do?
1. This week i started to learn how to filled my blog. Many thing to do. What did i do today? Choose new templates :P. Is my template suits??
2.Build my teaching philosophy- I being a teacher for short time before, but love to being a teacher because i feel satisfied if someone understand what i am trying teach. Am i weirdo??
Richness of knowledge can be improves through learning- i dunno whose saidthis words but it give me spirit, so do not regret u create this blog girl :p..
its already week 14..

nothing, much, but i am trying to complete it. Its carrying 30% of my mark, do better job mariya. yep2 i am trying.. am i talking to myself???
See now, i am almost complete all task that , just 2 reflections more, on camtasia and smartboard.. then what r u doing here?? hehehe, i am trying to complete my reflection on overall blog..give me some spirit, don't be big mouth okey n keep nagging plzz?? (am i nuts?? , hahaha lol)

I have learn many things through this course what the most important that i learnt here is exposure to new ICT tools. One of them is this blog. It is one way to assist teachers in learning session.
A new learning for me is editing and creating video and collage in picasa and how to upload it into my blog. Besides, the development of blogs itself is new things to me. I think there many things that need improvement and keep practicing is the best way to improve my skills in blogging.
As future teacher, this blog is the tool to make my students easy to access any information related to their learning.

national education philosophy

my teaching philosophy
Being a teacher is noble works, because what we teach to students will determine who are they in future. I hope i can be pliable teacher, which means i did not solely control my class need involvement of my students.
I believe that what i have been study during master degree will give me new ideas, viewpoints and also practices that can i bring to improve students' achievement.
I love the feeling when i know i have captivating the students' attention through what i have been taught, that's will make me improve my styles of learning. No more boredom in my class, hope so.
